Thank you for your prayers and continued support of the Church Planting Program at KTS. Please take time to look at these prayer requests.

1. Please pray for Joel and MaryEllen as they are in the U.S. where MaryEllen has had surgery for breast cancer and is now getting ready for chemo. The are currently in New Albany, IN, staying in Graceland Baptist Church's mission house. Pray for Joel as he tends to MaryEllen and other activities as needed and also for MaryEllen as she undergoes dental work and struggles to get ready for chemo.
2. Pray for imb colleages Dan and Lori as they are seeing to the Church Planting Program without Joel and MaryEllen. They are blessed to have Sergey Bochko helping both in and out of the classroom. Pray for all three of them as they handle classes, student issues and everything else that goes with directing the Church Planting Program.
3. Pray for the Lord to continue to send us the new students He wants us to have for the freshman class for this year. Pray for Dan and Sergey as they make contacts and interview prospective students... asking the Lord to give them wisdom and the ability to know the Father's will in this.
   
4. Please pray for an elderly lady in our apartment building who cannot hear much nor see much... her birthday is this Saturday and she will be 86 years old. Olga has taken a liking to me and seeks me out daily. Pray for her to come to know the Lord... she refused a bible we tried to give her because she couldn't see to read it and she refused to let us read to her from the bible because she cannot hear either. Please pray for the Lord to provide a way for us to witness to Olga.
5. Praise to the Lord... news continues to pour in about new students coming our way for this next school year. Our first interviews for prospective students is this coming week. Please continue to pray fervantly for the Lord to provide new students from Ukraine and many former soviet countries.
6. Please pray for KTS and KTS Leadership as they look at the directions for the coming year. Pray for the Father to provide what is needed spiritually, directionally, and financially.
   
7. Pray for our church planting students as they continue to face trials and disappointments on every hand. The enemy continues to assult them in an effort to discourage or stop them from planting churches. Pray for these young men as they face problems in their churches and major personal problems as well.
   
8. Pray please for the Church Planting Program's # one need, new students! Join us in asking the Lord to send us more students than we can think or ask this new year. Pray for God to send the students that He wants to be here.
9. Pray for Joel and MaryEllen, Dan and Lori and Sergey Bochko as we continue after each session to evaluate our church planting curriculum. After operating in the program for a number of years, we realize that some things have been more successful than others. We have made some major changes, but we believe the Lord has sent Dan and Lori here to make even greater strides in this area. Pray that the Lord will continue to guide all five of us as we follow His leading.
   

Projects that are in the Planning

• Visiting volunteer teams coming to help church starts. Pray for wisdom as we work out details of each group.
• The possibility to partner with other Great Commission Chrisitians who are working in the area of Church Planting Joel has met with several others who have like visions to ours. Pray for us to know who to work with and who to just bless in the ministry.
• For a long time we have been working on a means to expand our Church Planting Major to the Bible Schools around the country. This involves not only finding the best way to video the class lectures, but it also involves decisions about course credit, professors to monitor video sessions and be responsible for classes. Pray for clear direction on this project.

General Requests for all International Mission Board Missionaries in Ukraine:

1. Pray continuously for guidance and that God will bring the Ukrainian people to himself.
2. Pray for Grace, Perseverance and Skill in learning the Ukrainian or Russian language. For some, this is the main goal of the first or even the second year of service.
3. Pray for Grace, Perseverance and Skill in training Ukrainian believers to be leaders in the churches through discipleship.
4. Pray for greater participation among Ukrainian Baptist churches in church planting programs.
5. Pray for God to work in training leaders through the Seminaries, Bible Institutes and other leadership training programs in Ukraine.
6. Pray for favor and wisdom and love for our national people as we individually witness in the setting that the Lord puts each one of us.
