Summer Internship Comes to a Close |
|
James Dean has become almost a permanent fixture in that chair... at least when he isn't over at Open Heart Church working with Pastor Sergei and his wife Natali or out with a volunteer team or at Chilli Pizza, his favorite restaurant in Kiev I think. However, when he is not out doing other ministry, you can find him molded into that very uncomfortable chair with his earphones on listening to music with his computer in his lap... guess that is the way of a college student.
It seems to us that his summer internship has just flown by and we
were certainly not ready to see him leave. He has been a great help to
us this summer, especially with volunteer teams. He has seen a wide
gammit of teams and this past week has even been one of a three man
team from Kiev, when a team canceled that was scheduled to work in a
youth camp organized by two of our church planting students.
Joel
has been encouraging James to be our advocate in America for the Church
Planting Department at KTS. If you want a local person to speak about
missions or to talk to a group of people interested in coming as a
volunteer team, give James a call... in care of Campbellsville
University, Campbellsville, KY. He definitely can give you all the ins and outs on volunteer teams. Thank you, James for a Great Job this summer!
