Volunteer Team from Bellevue Makes a Difference in Khmelnitsky |
Team Bellevue 2006 arrived at Kiev's Borispol airport late, but in great spirits. They came through customs like pros! As is traditional greeting all of the gals were presented with roses and then the team was transported to their downtown hotel where they stayed the first night right in the midst of government protests and weekend festivities.
{mosimage}They were met at the hotel by the two interpreters from last year...Anya and Oksanna and they both accompanied the team to dinner and touring downtown.
{mosimage}Sunday morning Sasha Pavluk, the church planter that the team will be working with, meet the team with a large tour bus for the trip to Khmelnitsky. {mosimage}Pizza, Ukrainian style ...it was said to be the best some missionaries had had in Ukraine ! {mosimage}On Monday the team got down to business with first the children's program {mosimage}It seems everyone had their own following...kids vying for their attention. {mosimage}Even Roger took a turn working with the kids!
